1) Who can receive Waking Word?

Anyone with a cellular telephone capable of receiving text messages.

2) How do I buy it for a friend or loved one?

Enter your information as the purchaser, be sure to use the cellular telephone number of the intended recipient and not your own cellular phone number.  Make sure you have the permission of the recipient to send text messages to their phone.

3)Are there additional fees beyond my subscription fees?

Most cellular plans include some number of text messages.  Many plans charge a fee for any messages received each month beyond those included in the plan.  These charges will appear on the recipients cellular phone bill; these charges originate with the cellular provider and are not fees charged by Waking Word.

4) What do the messages look like?

Because most cellular devices limit the number of characters that can be received in a text message, we must sometimes condense our inspirational passages.  We do our best to deliver the essence of the passage, and we include the book and passage information so that you may review the full passage at your convenience if you choose.

e.g. I seek... that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life... he will keep me safe in his dwelling... and set me high upon a rock. -Psalm 27:4-5

5) When will I receive the messages?

The message is sent to your phone at approximately 7 AM in the time zone you select. If you would like to adjust the time the message is sent, you can select another time zone when you subscribe. Currently, you cannot change your time zone once you have subscribed.
